[While he's not necessarily surprised that she would bring up Waloed, it does make him furrow his brows for a moment before they arch up again.]
What we ate?
[...That is definitely not what he expected.]
Well you, my dearest daughter, were mostly a wee bairn and was the pickiest thing when you were finally able to grab things. Flinging potatoes be they whole or mashed, and you certainly didn't like your vegetables. Could relate to Joshua there, he still hates carrots.
[Well, mostly, but at least she eats her carrots, JOSH.]
We was talkin' about how we liked th' stuff here, but missed the food from home an' how maybe we could make a bunch o' it to get rid o' the homesick, you know? So I told 'im I'd ask you what we ate in Waloed. I bet you had a whole journal full o' everyone's favourite foods in the old Hideaway, didn't you?
More interesting you picked Waloed rather than the Hideaway, but I supposed you did live half of your life in each before you went off to Kanver.
[He hums a bit.]
But you're right. Although it was mostly Sanbreque recipes given that's where we were and ingredients were harder to get, Kenneth did always manage something, even a few of his own creations.
I can rattle off Kanver foods too, but there weren't anyone else there with me, you know? It was just me. But Waloed and the Hideaway? Plenty of stuff to share.
[Well... that makes sense, it was kind of a mishmash of stuff then, huh.]
Think we could recreate some o' them here? From all over, not just from th' old Hideaway.
Not a bad idea. I haven't thought too much of it yet, but suppose we should start preparing. We need to stock our own stores, anyway, might as well include ingredients for that.
Could even have the other members offer their own home recipes.
Yeah! A little taste o' home! Think we could make all the posh stuff? We have at least three royal tastes to appease, hold the carrots for Josh, though.
[Yes, she's asked Joshua about the "posh" food in Rosaria, yes she wants to make that food to try it, no she will not be deterred.]
Whatever Kav and Alhaitham like too, I bet their food would be real good too.

I suppose we could. Some ingredients would have to be substituted since they don't have everything here... But shouldn't be too hard.
[As if he would have said no, anyway—]

Maybe... when we do th' big winter dinner? A little taste o' home for them, yeah?

[...A careful look.]
Unless you want to try cooking...?

[ha ha ha ha ha ha]
I'd probably need 'elp though, I'm only one person. It's like buildin' somethin', I know that much.

Right, how about you let your old man show you a thing or two, first? After living here for a while, I've improved my own skills.

[........don't tell her teachers.]
But nothin' elaborate, but I'm sure it can't be that hard. I won't burn the place down, if you're worried 'bout that.

[Maybe exploding—
But he just laughs and wraps his arm around her shoulder to hug her to him.]
But all right, show your old man what you can do.
[He's all smiles, but...it is a bit bittersweet because sob sob his precious little girl all grown up...!!!!]
